The DecTech Commitment

  DecTecH was established as a consulting entity to provide engineering services to the process industry, specifically food processing applications in vacuum cooling in kettles and retorts, de-aeration and hydration systems.

  Our main focus is to identify applications and assist the customer in evaluating their requirements regarding process, utilities, layout and support equipment such as boiler, cooling tower, pumps and other components. This function may include environmental factors covering air and waste water control, as well as, project management from inception through installation and start up.

  In addition to our consulting services, DecTecH will also provide start-up, troubleshooting and other services relating to vacuum processes and Steam Jet Ejector or Hybrid Vacuum Systems. We will size and design a new system or evaluate new requirements for updating and renovating older systems. We recommend and interface with selected suppliers of the main support equipment.

  Our management and engineering experience assure our clients cost effective solutions, scheduling, coordination of project functions and equipment selection to meet their production requirements, while working as a team with the client's personnel to ensure an effective synergy.

About us

  Managing Member Louis 0. Decker, C.E.T, received his B.S. degree from Upsala College in Business Administration and Management, an A.A.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middlesex College and successfully completed the four-year Engineering Technology program at Rutgers University.

  Lou has been certified in Food Engineering Principles and Practices by Rutgers University and Welding Practices by New York University. He is a licensed Stationary Engineer in the state of New Jersey and a Certified Engineering Technologist by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, affiliated with the National Society of Professional Engineers. He is a consulting engineer for two major equipment manufacturing companies.

  Lou is a published author of numerous articles encompassing a diverse range of subjects on steam jet vacuum cooling, Ejector vacuum systems, and troubleshooting for the engineering and food industries.
